Taking part in the World Cruising Club’s Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) is a truly life changing experience! 
 
Around 225 sailing yachts in a variety of classes, with crews representing 28 countries and equipped to different specifications assemble in Las Palmas in Gran Canaria during the weeks in the run up to the great race start day in November. 
 
ARC is an exceptionally well organised event with the World Cruising Club providing an unrivalled level of support for all those preparing for and then taking part in this 2800 nautical mile challenge. 
 
•An ARC preparation and information seminar is held at Ocean Village, Southampton, during the Southampton boat show. 
•A series of pre-start briefings, social events and safety masterclasses held in Las Palmas during week prior to start 
•Daily communications throughout the duration of the transatlantic crossing; 
•An awesome welcome across the finish line in St Lucia with a non-stop party atmosphere and organised events; 
 
 
This is the world’s largest trans-ocean sailing event and will not only provide you with a unique opportunity to rise to this challenge but also ensure friendship are cemented for years to come.

Be Part of The ARC Team Onboard on of our 45 plus foot yachts. 
 
Berths onboard ARC are limited to 6 in total including the skipper. Down below, the yacht offers 4 double cabins, 2 full sized heads with cubicle showers, large saloon and well equipped galley. 
 
•A well planned, tried and tested ‘watch’ system ensures you will have exclusive use of your allocated cabin berth during ‘off watch’ periods; 
•A pre-determined daily meal plan ensure a balanced and varied diet through out the trip – no ships rations on this yacht! 
•Daily boat duties keeps everyone actively involved in the running and progress of the yacht, as well as engendering a great team spirit. 
 
 
Crew are invited to join either on one or more of the important passages from Plymouth to Las Palmas, and or for the trans-Atlantic crossing itself.

How ARC 2010 set off 
 
Las Palmas to St Lucia 20 days, 22nd November 2010. 
 
Arriving on or around 12th December 2010. 
 
£1,250.00 (This includes accommodation onboard for up to 5 days ahead of start & 24hrs after arrival in St Lucia incl. breakfast) 
 
 
 
The ARC crossing is offered on a contribution to expenses basis, these expenses are as follows:
